Hundreds of pubs, offices, and community groups across the UK will be hosting the Climate Week Pub Quiz during the week of 12-18 March 2012. The quiz is an easy way to be part of Britain’s biggest climate change campaign, and is completely free of charge to host.
The quiz takes a witty, irreverent and fun look at eco issues. It lasts for 60-90 minutes (including marking time). Rounds of questions are in traditional pub quiz categories such as Entertainment, Sport, and Geography.
The 2011 Climate Week Pub Quiz was hosted by over 250 organisations. Some of the questions included:
- Which film star has been dubbed ‘Emissions Impossible’ for owning three private jets?
- What colour is the skin of a polar bear?
- Which Muppet sang ‘It’s Not Easy Being Green’?
- Which female tennis player won six Wimbledon singles titles in the 1960s and 1970s, and launched an environmental initiative called GreenSlam in 2007?
- The ice on which African mountain has melted more than 80% since 1912?
