How to Enter

Nominations are now OPEN for the Climate Week Awards 2013. Deadline for entries is 25 January, 2013.

Enter the Climate Week Awards by sending an email to awards@climateweek.com, marking the category clearly in the subject line, and attaching the entry as a Microsoft Word, Open Office, or PDF file.

Key Dates:

Friday 25 January 2013
Deadline for entries for the Climate Week Awards at 5pm.

Monday 18 February 2013
Shortlist of four announced for each category.

Monday 4 March 2013
Awards will be presented at a ceremony in Central London at the official launch of Climate Week.

Entry Details

Please put the following information at the top of your entry:

  • The category of award you are entering
  • The name of the project or person being nominated
  • The Organisation name
  • A named contact and their position
  • Contact telephone number, email and address

For individual award categories (Most Inspirational Leader and Most Inspirational Young Person), please address the following specific headlines, and describe your entry in no more than 700 words.

Who? : briefly describe this person and their background.
What? : what contribution has this person made to help tackle climate change?
Why? : why is this person deserving of an award?

For the Artistic Response category, please address the following specific headlines, and describe your entry in no more than 700 words. Please ensure your entry is accompanied by supporting material illustrating your work.

Inspiration: briefly describe how the work came about
Execution: describe how the work has been produced
Response: where has the work been exhibited and how has it been received?
Contribution: how does the work contribute to understanding or action on climate change?

For all other award categories, please address the following specific headlines in no more than 700 words.

Background: briefly describe the context of your entry
Objective: what did you set out to do and why?
Approach: what did you achieve, and how?
Impact: how has your activity helped to tackle climate change and/or make society more sustainable? Please include any substantiating facts, figures and results.

Up to three images can be provided to illustrate the entry. These files must not exceed a combined total of 1 MB.

Entries may use continuous text and/or bullet points. Please ensure that entries address the specific headlines for the relevant category. The maximum word limit for all entries is 700 words.

Shortlisted candidates may be asked for more detailed information at a later stage.
